The university is under the flagship of the Colorado state university system. The campus comprises of eight colleges specializing in different fields. There is a total of 2,000 faculty staff in the eight colleges offering bachelor’s degrees in 65 fields with master’s degrees in 55 fields. In addition, the university is dedicated to research and development especially in the field of veterinary sciences. Their veterinary medicine program is ranked second in the nation.
