Avalon University School of Medicine (AUSOM) was founded in 2003 and is chartered by the government of Curacao.  AUSOM has an academic team and curriculum which focuses on success of its student body.  AUSOM’s faculty consists of professors who are qualified doctors with a great experience and knowledge of the basic sciences and medical practice, which makes them an integral part of the success of AUSOM graduates.

It’s located on the island of Curacao, one of the most developed and modern islands in the Caribbean.

Rankings/Accreditation

AUSOM is a recognized Caribbean Medical School and for a Medical University to be approved, it must be chartered on the country of location. AUSOM is also recognized by the United States accrediting body, Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates® (ECFMG). AUSOM is also recognized by the World Health Organization (WHO) and can be found in their most recent World Directory of Medical Schools. Additionally, the Medical Council of Canada (MCC) considers AUSOM a recognized medical school
